Luis Suarez would seemingly welcome Neymar back to Barcelona, recalling one of the best years of his career alongside the Brazilian and Lionel Messi.
Neymar, 27, is linked with a return to the LaLiga champions, two years after making a €222million switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazil international spent four seasons at Barca before his move, including winning a treble in 2014-15.
Suarez said he would be happy to see Neymar, who is sidelined with an ankle injury, back at Camp Nou.
I was privileged to fulfil one of the best years of my life as a football player at Barcelona next to the best in the world, Messi, and the second best in the world, Neymar, the Uruguay international told RAC1 on Monday.
For me, it was one of the best moments I v…
Ilkay Gundogan is keen to extend his contract at Manchester City, according to the Mail Online.
The Germany international’s current deal runs until the end of next season, but he is keen to stay beyond that following his participation in their success this season.
Gundogan added the domestic treble to the pair of trophies he helped Pep Guardiola’s side clinch during the 2017/18 campaign.
He played forty-one times in all competitions this season, scoring five goals while internationally he has been capped thirty-one times by his country, and was part of the squad that featured at last summer’s World Cup finals.
He was part of the squad that went to Euro 2012 but was not selected for their triumphant 2014 World Cup squad due to injury.

Borussia Dortmund confirming Mats Hummels wants to join Bayern Munich is an example of the Bavarian giants philosophy of weakening their Bundesliga rivals, says Olaf Thon.
After much speculation, Dortmund announced on Thrusday Hummels had informed the club he wished to make the switch to Bayern at the end of the season.
The centre-back came through the youth ranks at Bayern before making a permanent switch to Dortmund in 2009 having initially joined on loan a year beforehand.
Dortmund have already lost Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze to their title rivals in recent years, and Thon – a three-time Bundesliga winner with Bayern during a six-year spell at the club – believes the latest revelation shows the means by which the defending champions look to remai…

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna for £42million.
Calafiori, who will wear the number 33 shirt for the Gunners, has penned a five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium.
The 22-year-old centre-half made 37 appearances for Bologna last season, helping the Serie A club qualify for the Champions League for the first time since the 1964-65 campaign.

Chelsea eased to a comfortable 4-1 win against Paris FC as Sam Kerr’s hat-trick helped them to a first Champions League victory of the season.
The result had looked in doubt at half-time after the visitors had stunned Emma Hayes’ side with an equaliser from defender Thea Greboval’s header, wiping out the lead given to last year’s semi-finalists when Kerr turned in Lauren James’ cross.
But two goals early in the second period settled Chelsea nerves and ensured there would be no upset from the tournament debutants at Stamford Bridge. Kerr grabbed her second and third in the space of seven minutes before substitute Sophie Ingle capped the night off in stoppage time to ensure three points after last week’s controversial draw away to Real Madrid.

Tottenham ended their International Champions Cup tour on a high as Georges-Kevin N Koudou s 47th-minute strike gave Spurs a 1-0 win over AC Milan.
N Koudou scored powerfully a minute into the second half to put Premier League side Tottenham in the ascendency after Milan had created the better chances in the opening period on Tuesday.
The French winger could have doubled Tottenham s lead but he was denied by Gianluigi Donnarumma, whilst Patrick Cutrone and Franck Kessie came closest for the Rossoneri – who are reportedly close to signing Juventus pair Gonzalo Higuain and Mattia Caldara – in Minnesota.
Tottenham and Milan last met in the Champions League round of 16 in 2010-11, when Spurs advanced 1-0 on aggregate and it was another low scoring night at the U.…
Real Madrid legend Raul has defended Cristiano Ronaldo in the wake of his underwhelming start to the season and believes the Portugal international is well aware that more is expected of him.
Ronaldo has averaged more than a goal per game since joining Madrid from Manchester United in 2009, but he has netted just four goals in nine appearances in all competitions this term.
The 31-year-old cut a frustrated figure in his side s 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao at the weekend, but Raul sees no reason for panic just yet.
We should be proud of what Cristiano has been doing. He scores 50 goals per season. I struggled to hit 20, Raul told Cadena Ser.
He has a great personality and is very hungry for success. He is more critical of his own performances than anyo…
Didier Deschamps and Kylian Mbappe both insisted they are not worried despite France falling to the bottom of their Nations League group with a 1-1 draw in Austria.
Les Blues followed up their shock 2-1 home loss to Denmark and 1-1 draw against Croatia with another underwhelming display at Ernst Happel Stadion on Friday.
Substitute Mbappe scored seven minutes from time to cancel out Andreas Weimann s first-half opener, but France had to settle for another draw on their travels.
France are four points adrift of Group A1 leaders Denmark with three games to play and only one finals spot up for grabs, while Austria and Croatia are two points better off.
But despite their hopes of retaining the title they won in October with victory against Spain looking slim,…
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl described reports of poor behaviour from Giovanni Reyna during the United States World Cup campaign as incomprehensible.
Gregg Berhalter s young USA side suffered a last-16 exit against the Netherlands after finishing second in Group B at the tournament, with Reyna playing a limited role.
The attacking midfielder featured for a total of just 51 minutes in Qatar, and reports have since suggested the USA almost sent him home due to a lack of commitment in training.
Reyna labelled such reports highly fictionalised in a social media post on Monday, expressing disappointment that any dispute with Berhalter or his staff had been made public.
The 20-year-old has the backing of his club, with former BVB midfield…
